Gas Logs
At Wright's Hearth, Heat & Home we carry a wide range of vent-free and vented gas logs.

Vent-free: Vent-free gas logs can be used in a regular fireplace or in a prefabricated
vent-free firebox that has
no chimney and operates with the fireplace damper closed. If you are
expecting to heat a portion of your home or are looking for a good backup
heat source, consider one of our vent-free models. If you prefer a vented
gas log set, but want the warmth of a ventless log system, we also carry gas
log heaters, which will provide up to 25,000 BTUs of heat into the room and
can be used with or without glass doors.

Monessen and Rasmussen
Vented: A vented gas log must be used in a regular fireplace designed to burn a wood fire and run with the flue damper open to vent the gas fumes up the chimney. Vented gas log sets are realistic looking and provide about the same amount of heat as a real wood fire.
